First Nations Commissioning Fund round 3 successful recipients
- Miss Naomi Wenitong - $150,000 over two years (plus $10,000 to support new live or recorded music by Queensland-based composers, musicians or librettists) for The Making of a Matriarchy, a new theatrically imbedded concert from the artist Naomi Wenitong coinciding with release of her new solo EP, for headline programming at CIAF in 2025.
- Grace Lillian Lee Productions Pty Ltd - $150,000 (plus $90,000 for an industry placement) to deliver OLD AND NEW (working title) an ambitious new project for that will push the boundaries of technologically driven creative mediums to express traditional Indigenous cultural artforms.
- proppaNOW - $116,224 over two years (plus $60,000 for an industry placement) to deliver new work and enter Research and Development phases for two significant pieces of work celebrating the Collective and its members.
- Digi Youth Arts - $66,931 (plus $42,450 for an industry placement) to deliver ‘RESISTANCE’, a new work exploring the ongoing impacts of colonisation now, and through the ages.
- Aunty Jude Hammond - $150,000 over two years (plus $90,000 for an industry placement and $10,000 to support new live or recorded music by Queensland-based composers, musicians or librettists) to deliver The Dhakkan/Mundagudda and Maroochy Project, which aims to empower First Nations youth through Cultural Arts workshops. The project will provide mentoring and training in various art forms, including dance, song, music and visual arts.
- Isaac Drandic - $149,713 over two years to support Faith Spirit Lore - development of a work of scale for theatre performance.
