Arts and Disability Plan

The Arts and Disability Plan 2024-2026 is focused on strengthening and growing accessible and inclusive Queensland arts and culture through the leadership of people with disability.

The Plan was developed by Arts Queensland, in partnership with the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services, and informed by consultation across the State, with more than 200 people of diverse cultural backgrounds and disabilities. It will contribute to a legacy of inclusion and empowerment as the State prepares for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Over the next two years, the Plan will deliver actions and initiatives across three priority areas driven by the principles of access, equity, inclusion and co-design:

  • Support careers and employment
  • Drive inclusive arts
  • Grow audiences and markets.

The Plan is a deliverable of  Grow 2022-2026, the second action plan for Creative Together. It will also support Queensland’s Disability Plan 2022-27 and the delivery of legacy outcomes in Elevate 2042 Legacy Strategy.
