The construction of the new theatre reached a milestone in May with the completion of the roof over the theatre’s auditorium.

The concrete pour for the level eight slab allows two new areas of construction to proceed: the plant room above and fitting out in the auditorium below.
A 47m pump – the largest in Lendlease’s concreter’s fleet – was used to pump 120m3 concrete (approximately 18 concrete trucks’ worth) to the top of the structure in an 11-hour concrete pour.
